People mainly buy motorcycles for attention, the feeling of freedom and the thrill of speed. Motorcycles vary from Harley’s to crotch rockets to off-road dirt bikes. Suzuki street bikes, also known as crotch rockets, are the types of motorcycles that give the thrill of flying through the air at very fast speeds. Harley’s are the types of motorcycles that are known to make a lot of noise and cruise smoothly along the road while still being able to speed along. Off-road dirt bikes are pretty much self explanatory. People ride these motorcycles off the main road, usually on land that has difficult terrain (steep hills, deep ditches, plenty of bumps and sharp turns too).
If speed is a concern, Suzuki makes some of the fastest motorcycles in the world. In fact, they have created the world’s fastest motorcycle, the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R. The bike was originally introduced in 1999 and has steadily improved over the years. The 2008 model was estimated to cost about $12,000.
The Hayabusa is capable of speeds of over 200 mph (322 km/h). The motorcycle can go from 0-60 mph in 2.47 seconds, 0-100 mph in 4.91 seconds and all the way up to 0-180 mph in 15.62 seconds. The top recorded speed is 190.6 mph (307 km/h). Not only is this bike fast, it has great looks. As one would expect, the Suzuki Hayabusa is sleek and automatically looks like it’d go super fast! People have said that it is easy to handle, feels light and attracts all the attention on the road.

Vespas: America’s New-Age Motorcycle
Nowadays, people everywhere are pretty familiar with the word “Vespa” primarily because it is the name of a two wheeled vehicle. However, in America, we’ve only just begun to recognize such a vehicle within the last few years. Vespas, which are otherwise known as fast scooters, have been popular in places such as Europe, the Middle East, Asia and many other countries throughout the world. People have been using these vehicles as easily accessible transportation for several years mainly because they are cheap, both buying the scooters itself and for gas, and there isn’t any handling hassles.
Within the last five or six years, America has caught onto the trend of Vespas. Around the year of 2003, companies began popping up throughout the country to sell Vespas. The sales of the scooters gradually rose as the years went by because people started to figure out that Vespas are cheaper than cars, get better gas mileage and can go the same speeds as most transportation vehicles. Vespas can also be better for the environment because they require less gas but can get same or better miles per gallon and they take up less space. Vespas can all run on electricity. They’re a hybrid, in a way.
Vespa speeds range from 40 mph up to 75 mph. The higher the speed of the scooter, the more likely that it’ll be like a motorcycle. The lower speed scooters are usually automatic and the higher speeds are usually manual. The prices of the Vespas can range from $1,500 to $3,800. Miles per gallon varies on the manufacturer but there have been records of a scooter getting about 50 miles per gallon.

Post June 2009: New Cars
Next on the list of premieres is the 2010 Toyota Prius. This car is a little more expensive than the Insight but it could be well worth it. Starting around $22,000, the Prius gets about 48 mpg city and 45 mpg highway while being earth friendly. Earth friendly? Yes! It’s a hybrid too. The car is also safe. It contains advanced driver and passenger airbags along with seatbelts that have been tested (and passed) rigorous safety tests.
The next vehicle isn’t as cheap or fuel efficient as the first two but it sure looks stylish! If you’re looking for something to show off while still being earth friendly, this may be a good car for you. The Lexus GS 450h RWD Hybrid starts around the price range of $56,550 and gets about 22 mpg city/25 mpg hwy. So, it isn’t as high quality when it comes to fuel efficiency but this isn’t necessarily a car to be driving across the country either.
From the research that I have done, it appears to be that there are going to be quite a few cars coming out later this year. Not only that, but the car dealers are producing lots of hybrids!

The Value That Comes from a Used Cars
When you’re driving along the city road, you’re most likely going to see car dealerships. Some of those dealers will be posting signs like “Brand New!” but others will have posters with the words “Runs Like New!” As you might’ve guessed, the second sign is for a used car dealership.
A lot of people have thoughts that used cars really aren’t as great as new ones and to some extent, they’re correct. However, that doesn’t mean buying a used vehicle is a bad thing. Many people buy cars and when the newer version of it appears, they ditch the old and get the new. Therefore, that “used” car is practically new even though it was previously owned. If you stop by the used car lot and find a vehicle like this then you’re in luck! Negotiate the dealer down to a reasonable price for your budget, buy the car, and you’re set.
So, there are some good used cars. However, you should also know there’s a flip side too. While a few vehicles are really nice, others are not. Some used cars are just down-right awful and disgusting! You’re most likely to encounter these horrible vehicles when you visit a police auction, a place where cars were repossessed, or dumped on the side of the road. The transmission will suck, parts will be missing, it’ll smell bad and it won’t even be worth the work to fix it. Those types of used cars aren’t worth any time or effort at all!
When searching for a vehicle that isn’t brand new, you should always consider the pros and cons of everything. If you have the time and money to use on fixing up a partially broken down car, then go for it but otherwise, try to find something with a little more substance.

A Look at the New Cars Before June 2009
Another new 2009 car is the Hyundai Tucson GLS. Priced at $18,070 with 20 mpg city/26 mpg highway, it’s a pretty decent car. Out of the three Hyundai Tucson cars (GLS, SE and Limited), the GLS is the best in the price and fuel efficiency categories. However, if you’re looking for more horsepower and torque, the Limited might be good for you.
Next on the list is the 2009 car Mazda6. Looks-wise, it’s sleek, stylish and cool. Compared to the Saturn Outlook, the price range is considerably better. The Mazda6 starts at $19,220 with 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. This car can be fast, fuel efficient and cool all at the same time which makes it one of the ideal vehicles for the beginning of this year.
These are only a few of the good cars that have come out this year and there are more to come. For the new releases, I’d recommend searching through all the car dealers that you can. I listed off cars from Mazda, Hyundai and Saturn but there are still Ford, Cadillac, Toyota, GMC, Volvo, Suzuki, Subaru, Jeep, Nissan, Acura…and so on.

Are Cars from China All That Great?
People who live in America, as well as other big countries, know that a lot of our products are from China. You can buy toys, candles, blankets, clothes or cars and find, somewhere on the item, a little sticker indicating that they are manufactured in a foreign country. Since so many of our products come from China, there are questions about whether we should be allowing this to happen…especially with our transportation vehicles.
Ford, one of the largest car companies in the USA, allows China to manufacture their vehicles. The reasoning behind this is simple, the work is cheap. Chinese workers get paid less to do the same, or better, quality of work than what American workers produce. Therefore, car companies, such as Ford, can pay the foreign workers a lesser price while still being able to sell the end product, the car, at a much higher price to Americans. As you would most likely expect, this causes a big problem with Ford customers.
Even though Ford has found a way to produce their vehicles cheaply, it doesn’t mean that if you import a car from China that it’ll be cheap for you. Importing a car can be very difficult because of all the requirements it takes to get the vehicle to America. Safety regulations, import taxes, EPA rules, along with many other requirements can become great hindrances.
So, in my opinion, cars from China are great to use and econimical but the answer to the question “Should I import a car from China” is a big, flat out “No!”

The Cheapest of them All (Cars, that is)
In America, people know of car manufacturers such as Cadillac, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet and GMC (General Motors Company). However, there are many, many more car manufacturing companies out there! One of them is the Tata Motor Company located in India. If there are so many more motor companies then why do I mention this one? I speak of them because they produce the cheapest car that is on the market!
Chevrolet produces a car called the Aveo that is sold for $12,625 and Hyundai makes the Accent which sells for about $9,970. Even though it may seem like a stretch, neither of these companies make the least expensive car in the world. Therefore, Tata Motors comes into play. On March 23, 2009, the Nano was released. This four door, rear-engine, sleek, tiny and easy to handle vehicle sells at $2,500…or less. The car is primarily aimed towards the India market and is available for purchase in July 2009.
The name of the car, Nano, was titled by Tata Motors using their own language. Gujarati is the language of the founders of the Tata Group. Even before the Nano, other car manufacturing companies have tried to create vehicles that are very similar. For example, DaimlerChrysler has been selling the Smart Car, which is very tiny, but costs $35,000. India still has them beat. Other various vehicles include the Mini Cooper and the Volkswagen Bug. Even though they are small, each still costs a considerable amount more than the Tata Nano. So far, this car is the cheapest the world has seen in a very long time. Now we just have to sit and wait to see what will come next!

Our experience with the cheapest car: The Yugo
As a 10 year old child you can remember your parents coming home with a surprise car. The window sticker was stilled neatly attached with the price $3990 in big black bold letters. We were happy and shocked that we had a new car.
This was the ultimate car to have back in the day called the “Yugo”. It had been just recently introduced to the American people. The car has nice interior and drove smoothly. It was compared to be driven like a roller coaster.
Our Yugo drove with style as a fuel efficiency car, it was a great gas saver. We had the car for almost a year and that when we experience trouble with the interior in the car. The seats had torn apart and the engine was failing. The Yugo car gave us 3 years and after that it died. We attempted to use the car as a trade in but no one would take it. The car was impossible to sell.
There is a new car out this year that has not yet been released to the dealership. It is called a “Tata Nino” vehicle, the price is going of $2500. It is more an economy gas saver vehicle.
The India manufacturers is marketing the car, but has not shipped it to the United States. It will be soon coming out in the year 2009 according to Newsweek reporters. It is identified as the new 21st century vehicle.
The Wall Street Journal classifies it as a nice economy car for those who are on a budget and looking for a gas saver vehicle. Once the Tata Nino make its way to the United States it will be a quality vehicle that people will love. It will be priced at an affordable price to fit any budget.

Using Water to Operate Your Car
The use of water will help save gas in a more efficient way. Most engines on cars have been poorly designed to even operate. It is a fact that only 20% of gas is actually used to drive your car, while the other 80% is water used.
Ways to boost your gas efficiency;
· Double your mileage will cut the gas cost.
· Protect your own health by keep the emissions on your car clean.
· If you are warming your car, prevent giving pressure to the accelerator which leaks out more gas from your vehicle.
· IRS tax credit by using the green energy.
You can covert an older model car to run car on water than gas. All the material you need can be purchased at your local Auto Part store in your area. The following materials needed are;
· Electrical wiring
· A sealed quart size container
· Baking soda
· Large bottle of tap or distilled water
· CPVC Pipes
Your engine must be modified, but it is also reversible therefore it will not void out your warranty. This method is good for diesel and gas powered vehicles. For example; SUV, vans and trucks.)
The instructions are as follows;
· Complete the process of the container installation and fill it with water and baking soda.
· The electricity will come from your car’s battery and break the water molecules to be 2 parts which are the hydrogen and oxygen.
· An electrolysis process begins with HHO supplied to your engine’s air.
This method will increase your car’s gas efficiency. It is used among millions of people around the world and is now being used even more.

Bringing Cars to the United States
Many people buy cars from other countries and bring them in to the United States. The cars are not as expensive as they are in the United States and it is less complications and paperwork to deal with. You can get a better deal with the manufacturer overseas than you can in your local area.
It is an easy process to import cars from other countries it also cancels out the process of compromises with a salesman. You just simply bid on the car that you want, and send your payment and the car will be delivered to you wherever you are. It is an excitement to the customer that know they have an opportunity to buy a car that no one else has the chance to out bid them.
Here are two important aspects that you can use to import your car from other countries:
1. Purchase from Stock – This method allows you to buy a car from a dealership with a stock of vehicles. You can view the details of the car and the inspection before importing to the United States. If there is a fixed price it also allows you to bargain with the price. You may have to pay additional expenses or importing the car.
2. Buying your car from an auction - This method allows you to bid even if you cannot be there in person. You can search for an agent to participate on your behalf, and if you are the winning bidder. You simply select the car that you want to bid on and give the agent your price. They will submit your bid and if you win, all information will be forwarded to you for finalization and shipping.
By selecting the auction method you have the advantage of using the agent or you can go online and bid on an auction directly. It may be a longer process if you do it yourself, but it will be less expenses to pay. If you use an agent services there will be agent cost to pay to ensure that he handles all procedures as instructed.
You can learn more information about import cars by going online and typing in (import cars from other countries) and you will receive other valuable information.

Simple methods to quickly inspect a car
Checking the engine
The fluids reflect the condition of the engine.
Check the oil – the dipstick level should show an adequate amount of oil. Should a milky look be present, the water is mixing with the oil. This means either cracked heads or a blown head gasket
Unscrew the oil cap and look on its underside – again if it looks milky, major engine problems may be the cause.
Check the radiator – ensure that it is cool upon touching. A hot radiator is extremely dangerous. Check for antifreeze is set to the maximum. Look at the cap also for milky substances, if present then there may be major problems with it.
Check the transmission – Get the car running first for an accurate reading
Inspect the body of the car
Look at car’s seams – look on the hood for the left seam, then compare it with the seam on the right. Compare the width of both seams. Do so for the seams of the trunk as well. Different widths mean that the car was probably involved in a collision and some amount of repair work was done.
Missing stickers from manufacturers also indicates a previous collision
Check under the hood for a manufacturer’s sticker on its underside. If absent, the original hood may have been replaced following a collision from the front.
Also check the inside of the driver’s door. Manufacturer’s stickers are usually on the inside or simply near the door.
Paint over spray is also another indication. Evidence is usually present under the hood or even near the radiator, among other areas of a vehicle’s engine. Proceed to scan all over the car for these marks.
Checking for signs of floods
Open the trunk and take a deep breath. If you detect a musty mouldy odour, this means that the car has probably experienced some floods.
Is the car burning oil?
Start the car up and press on the accelerator. A friend should stand in the back, looking for blue or black smoke from the tailpipe. Later, when it has cooled down, wrap your finger with a napkin and sweep the tailpipe. If it has an oily black substance, it means that car burns oil.
Don’t forget to check that all accessories are in working order. Check the lights, windscreen wipers, and air conditioning, radio and power windows. When you start the car, no warning lights should be on – check the engine or battery.

The Muscle Cars of Today
The modern muscle cars typically have two doors and powered by a roaring v8 engine. The price tags on these new designs are somewhat more affordable now and this has led to its appeal to more and more college students. Muscle cars were initially meant for racing when it was first introduced in the late 1960’s up to the earlier bit of the 1970’s. Back then the idea was to take a huge, powerful engine and put in into a small, light car. This guarantee high speeds and was perfect for straight line racing. Nowadays, we see them everywhere from the busy roads to the highways of America.
Today the designs have been made so that they reflect more of a European style. The time of small, light cars have long gone with the modern designs including full sized cars, some pony cars and even compacts equipped with an engine much more powerful compared to the ones back then. The American media referred to these cars then as ‘supercars’ of their time. The term of ‘muscle car’ was not really used to describe them until after their production had stopped.
Car manufacturers nowadays develop limited editions of very high performance models of their cars. The more famous muscle cars of this time include the Chevy Camaro, the Chevy Corvette and of course the highly acclaimed Ford Mustang. This holds true for even some college students and the muscle car fanatics.
Let’s just hope that the newer designs would be more fuel efficient!

BMW- Additional Accessories and Upgrades
The consumer nowadays is not satisfied by simply accepting the original product, instead they look for aftermarket upgrades available to dramatically improve the performance of the vehicles as well as add more value to it. These aftermarket systems are becoming more popular as their manufacturers are keen to provide products which are of equal, if not higher, quality in terms of craftsmanship and also engineering compared to the original manufacturers. They have identified and improved on these performance systems and have come up with ingenious devices to boost the vehicles.
For example, if you decide to upgrade the BMW Performance system for air intake, your engine’s efficiency is improved by reducing the fall in pressure causing a boost in both horsepower and torque. This will also increase the engine RPM and also its output as the upgrade also allows the engine by-products to clear the vehicle in a more efficient manner. It also enhances the air circulation system and the power of your motor, evident by producing a deep throaty rumble which each rev.
Another popular choice is an upgrade to enhance the vehicle’s suspension and handling systems. This is known as a short shifting system as it improves the shifting ability for transmission by reducing the distance between gears resulting in a smoother shift ratio. These high performance control arms will increase dramatically the handling capability of your vehicle, delivering immediate reactions regardless of the condition of the terrain. Adding a carbon strut brace further improves the handling around corners, especially on uneven surfaces. It ties both front strut towers together and causes a more rigid front chassis along with a quicker steering response.
These are just a few of the aftermarket systems available to help upgrade your vehicle. Take some time for research and pick the upgrade most suitable for your motoring needs.

The Treasure Chest of Auto Parts
These salvage yards differ from junk yards in that there are many useful parts available from some vehicles still functioning. This is not always true for junk yards as most of the vehicles you find there are either broken beyond repair or simply put there because it would be too costly to repair them. Of course, you may have to look carefully for the right parts.
The abundance of viable parts makes auto salvage yards sort of a goldmine for those looking for cheap parts. What makes this more interesting is that some of the parts you are looking for may not be available at your neighbourhood store, whereas here you may extract any part of the vehicle and reassemble it into your own car. This often occurs when your car is no longer in production or the parts are simply too hard to come by. Simply look for the exact same model at the salvage yards and specify which parts you require.
It is best to contact these yards beforehand and set an appointment to meet up with the person in charge. They usually have certain rules and safety regulations before allowing you to have a look. It is a good idea to enquire about the parts you desire beforehand also as they may even help you search for them. Always inspect the parts before making the purchase and check their working condition as well.
Finally, you may also want to try the junk yard as an alternative or simply call the manufacturer. Of course the latter option would be the most expensive of all.

Searching for car parts?
If you are looking for some relatively common parts, try the closest neighbourhood auto parts store. They usually keep a stock of common parts in good condition. If what you need is rather unique to the vehicle, try the official dealer or even the manufacturer itself. These parts will definitely cost more as they may not be available at other stores. A cheaper alternative for car parts would be to visit a salvage yard.
When a car is involved in an accident, the damage may be so severe that it would be more costly to repair it compared to buying a new one. In these situations, salvage yards gather these vehicles and extract from them the working parts as there may be hundreds of perfectly viable parts. The remainder or unusable parts are sold as scrap metal. The more popular parts are usually kept at the lot, in a storefront or for display. Other parts are usually collected from the vehicles when a customer calls in requesting for them. Sometimes, customers are allowed to search for the cars themselves and remove the desired parts using the tools provided.
Most salvage yards will ship over the parts you ordered over a certain period of time, usually within the week. Even with the shipping cost, these parts are much cheaper compared to the other methods of acquiring spare parts. In fact the internet has made it even easier to search for the parts you need. Many salvage yards have come together to from networks with an inventory of common parts in high demand. Special parts may also be available, simply ask and they will search their yard for you.
